Comments: "Their names shall live forever more." Your Uncle and those like my Dad deserve all our thanks and thoughts for the lives we live today. Dad, Eric Ranger Jarman DFC lived to be 88 and he and I shared many wonderful times in the last few years of his life where he shared a few of his war experiences. His (he was a pilot) crew were one of those who formed the 170 Squadron from the 625. Good luck with your search and may the families of those who served with your uncle find some peace with your website.

Comments: Just having another look at your web page for Wilf, You've done a great job with this. I'm sure all his siblings would thank you if they could. I've just read a book.. Through Footless Halls of Air by Floyd Williston which describes what his experience with Squadron 170 must have been like. Thanks for doing this. Ken

Comments: Paul, this is an incredible website and, obviously, a labour of love. My uncle was served in the First Army in the US and was at Normandy, etc. He survived when so many others didn't. I agree with your effort to bring your uncle's service to light. Excellent work.

Comments: What a great memorial to your uncle Paul! My uncle William Hale, RCN, died February 14, 1945 when the boat he was captaining caught fire and subsequently exploded. Fortunately he was able to get all his crew off the boat to safety before that happened. A real war hero in my mind!
